SedeYOUR FIRST YEAR OF FAME / AN INDUSTRY GAME
THE RULES / 01

Make the hit
mean something.

You start with £65,000, one hit song and the whole business. Make six choices, then play through twelve months. You can make another decision after months 4 and 8.

  1. Win. Earn £1 million after business costs and finish able to pay your bills. Keep the whole business for a perfect run.
  2. Watch your cash. Pay to start each project when you choose it. Running costs start at £4,200 a month. Bills come before sales. Money borrowed, invested or paid as an advance does not count as profit.
  3. Make things fit. You have 5 work slots each month. A slot is a block of your team’s time. Each card says how many it needs. Too much work means less gets done. Fans are more likely to buy things they like from someone they trust.
  4. Live with the draw. Your starting code sets which offers and events can happen. Your choices change the result. Play the same code to try another approach.
  5. Choose your dates. Flexible launches can move later, from their earliest ready date through month 12. Shows, deals and seasonal deadlines stay fixed. Setup is paid now; work and income move to the chosen month. Change unstarted launches during planning or at months 4 and 8. A producer costs £2,000 now and £3,500 each remaining month for 3 extra slots. Hiring during the opening uses a move.
  6. Your choices come back around. A sold-out show, missed fan-club work or a fan’s viral video can bring a new decision at a hold. Choose one response. Extra projects take real slots, cost money and earn through the usual rules.

These are made-up game figures, not predictions of real earnings. The £1 million belongs to the business; it is not your personal pay. Progress saves in this browser. Scores are not checked against a public leaderboard.
